Happy Halloween: Rhythmic Pumpkin

So this one was my favorite subject wise. I like the texture of the pumpkin and it's stump with the wall of green behind it.  I also really like the repetition of the lighter orange spots on the humps of the pumpkin. But I did not choose to work with it because of it's blurriness.

This was my second favorite out f the batch. Again the texture of the pumpkin against the line of the house is really nice. Since it seemed to be the least fuzzy, i decided to work with it.

This is what I ended up with. I cropped it and saturated some things, and played around with the colors.  I didn't really know what I was doing. But, I think it looks okay in the end. Compositionally I achieved what I wanted, contrast between the textures of the house and the pumpkin.

  1. That was a very aggressive but good crop Alex. Sometimes it is hard to make such a big cut, but you did a good job of accentuating the pieces of the image that were working the best, the lines, while also punctuating the contrast. Nicely done. Keep this cropping in mind for the next time that you go out shooting, you might be onto something here.
