Peeling Tree
This is an assignment from my photo class.
We were supposed to take a picture and then edit it in Camera Raw using Adobe Bridge. The edited one looks a little over exposed, but I do like the warmth it gained. In addition, I think I need to bring back some of the blue in the sky.
This is my original:
This is my edited version:

22 Actions Assignment:
I started with action #13, taking my camera into a dark room, this was an epic fail. The lesson was learned, I do not know my camera very well. I promptly moved on to action #19, making a list of 20 Places I would like to shoot this year.
1. Devils Punch Bowl- Newport, Oregon
2. Hobo camps along the Willamette River- Hwy 22
3. San Juan Island Sculpture Park
4. Detroit, Oregon- the town, not the lake
5. Abandoned house outside Amity, OR- if you’re coming from Rickreall it’s right before you enter Amity.
6. Graffiti Garages- Tacoma, WA
7. Roads End- Lincoln City, OR
8. Valley of Giants- somewhere between Lincoln City and Falls City, OR
9. Yard of that Antique Store- Hawthorne St, Forest Grove
As with the previous action I attempted I did not get very far. However, I did accomplish action #4, finding a favorite photo.

I like this picture for a couple different reasons. In doing this search for a favorite photo I realized that I like pictures of people or pictures with people in them better than most other photographs. I connect better with the photo if there is a person in it. I really like that the woman in the shot has goose bumps and is clearly cold but it is still such a warm picture with the sunlight. The ability to capture that paradox is really special, it makes the moment feel authentic to me. There is also this feeling of intimacy about it that I haven’t quite figured out how to explain yet.

Family Sketch Book
This picture is from a blog called 'Illustration Friday Blog.' This post was about a guy who started a family sketch book. The sketch book is consistently available for everyone in the family to use and they all add and contribute to it. I just thought this was a super cool idea, I think my house-mates an I should get one!!

I'm still confused on the f 11 stuff, it's the aperture right? But what does that mean??
Thank you!
