Digital Darkroom Paper Critique

Digital Darkroom Critique for “Pathway”
I really like the subject of this photo. It is nice how the path is partially covered. It feels like a found object. This image is about texture. I get that when I look at it. The cobblestones feel really good; I can sense the smoothness of them. The twigs and branches feel like they get a bit lost though.  I would consider doing something to create more contrast. Everything feels very similar in tone, because of that, I think people might walk past this image and not give it their full attention. So I guess you could either bump up the contrast or put some kind of gradient over it to give it a little color that might add to the contrast. Maybe just adjusting your curves layer will correct that.
I’m also fond of the lightness towards the top of the photo. It sort feels like “the light at the end of the tunnel” so to speak. The twigs are creating great lines leading in towards the path, which is great for pushing focus towards the pathway. The branches lying on the path are awesome too; because of how they’re laying they guide my eye down the path or up the photo. There is really good flow/rhythm to it. Nice job!
